Earlier this week,聽TikTok said they were suing the U.S. government to stop a bill passed last month seeking to force聽ByteDance, TikTok鈥檚 Chinese to sell the app or have it banned.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for Washington, D.C., argues that the bill violates constitutional protections of free speech.
The suit calls the law an 鈥渦nprecedented violation鈥� of the First Amendment.
